About
Welcome to my website about photography.
I am a passionate photographer since many years. In 2012 I was introduced to Miksang - contemplative photography. My way of seeing was profoundly influenced. I strive to purely capture what I see at this very moment, nothing added nothing left. Contemplative photography helps me to stay in the moment, relax and enjoy what is.

Photography has always been a passion of mine which allows me to creatively express myself. I used to photograph on private events as parties, birthdays, weddings and so on. When I moved to Amsterdam - a very colourful and inspiring city - I got more and more drawn into streetphotography. In 2009 I bought my first digital SLR allowing me a lot more to experiment simply because the processing of the photos became so much easier and cheaper. To get the most out of my new camera I followed some courses at Fotogram, a well known Dutch Photography academy.
In summer 2012 I came in contact with Miksang, contemplative photography via Hélen A. Vink. Miksang introduced me to a completely new way of perception within photography which has changed my way of seeing for good. Miksang allowed me to combine my passion for photography with my passion for meditation. This contemplative way of photographing, of picturing exactly what I have preceived it in that particular moment, could be also referred to as "meditation in action". It helps me to come and stay in the here and now - it makes me happy and relaxed. Since my way of perception has profoundly changed by following the miksang practise I would say that nowadays all the photos I take are influenced by miksang and contemplative photography.
